Inospace, South Africa's leading owner and operator of serviced logistics parks, has launched a human resources module on its Inocircle online platform.

The HR module, developed by Resolute HR, offers a range of tools and products to smaller businesses that cannot afford full-time HR management.

The offering, which is free to Inospace’s 1,500 tenants, provides a suite of HR solutions that covers everything from employee take-on forms, contracts, leave forms, disciplinary actions, and more. According to the company, this makes it easier for businesses to comply with legal requirements, reduce errors, and streamline their HR processes.

"In today's rapidly evolving business landscape, managing people has become increasingly challenging for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). They often face the dilemma of balancing their limited budget with the need to manage a large workforce. This is where Inocircle’ s HR module comes in," says Inospace Chief Marketing and Product Officer Jodi Sher.

According to Sher, one of the biggest advantages of the newly launched HR module is its ease of use. "The platform is user-friendly and can be accessed from anywhere, making it convenient for businesses with a mobile workforce or those working remotely".

The sixteen document templates offered by Inocircle are fully customisable, which means businesses can tailor them to their specific needs.

In November last year, the Inocircle technology platform was launched, and has served as a space-as-a-service solution by offering useful business tools that have gone beyond cost savings and efficiencies. In addition to being the biggest owner of serviced logistics parks in South Africa, Inospace has positioned itself to be a property technology (proptech) provider with a war chest aimed at finding solutions to its clients’ operational pain points,

The new HR offering is designed to help businesses stay up to date with the latest legislation, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements. This is particularly important for small businesses, which may not have the resources to keep up with the constantly changing legal landscape.

Inocircle provides exclusive offers from a range of businesses, including insurance, office equipment, and courier services, and have now included access to a team of HR experts who provide guidance and support. This feature is particularly beneficial for businesses that do not have an in-house HR team. The experts can help businesses with issues such as employee relations, performance management, and compliance.

“Our HR module is a valuable tool for small and medium-sized businesses. With its user-friendly interface, customizable templates, and compliance with legal requirements, Inocircle’ s HR module is valuable tool to any business looking to enhance its HR management capabilities” says Sher.

According to Inospace’s Chief People Officer, David Bernstein, who has over seen the launch of the HR module, human capital is arguably the most valuable asset to a small business, especially during its fledgling years when the efforts of every employee contribute to the sustainability and financial viability of the small and medium enterprise in a very direct way.

“In terms of human resources management, one of the major challenges that SMEs face is understanding South African labour laws. The legal framework that regulates employment in South Africa is extensive. One of the first tasks that will land in the lap of any SME owner is coming to an understanding of how our country’s labour laws apply in the context of a small business” says Bernstein.

“Unfortunately, there are no shortcuts when it comes to managing people in a small business environment. Ultimately, doing it the right way begins with having a people-centric mindset and valuing the people who share your vision as an entrepreneur”.
